{"id":5833,"date":"2026-04-08T05:38:31","date_gmt":"2026-04-08T05:38:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dailytimes.net.pk\/?p=5833"},"modified":"2026-04-08T05:38:31","modified_gmt":"2026-04-08T05:38:31","slug":"work-on-cpec-linked-yarikh-sagu-motorway-set-to-begin-in-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dailytimes.net.pk\/?p=5833","title":{"rendered":"Work on CPEC-linked Yarikh\u2013Sagu Motorway set to begin in May"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-550b7e33 elementor-widget__width-initial elementor-widget-tablet__width-inherit elementor-widget-mobile__width-inherit cmsmasters-block-default cmsmasters-sticky-default elementor-widget elementor-widget-cmsmasters-post-content cmsmasters-widget-content elementor-widget-theme-post-content\" data-id=\"550b7e33\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"cmsmasters-post-content.default\">\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<div>ISLAMABAD, Apr 08 (<a href=\"https:\/\/abc.net.pk\/work-on-cpec-linked-yarikh-sagu-motorway-set-to-begin-in-may\/\">ABC<\/a>): Construction on the Yarikh\u2013Sagu Motorway (Package-I) is expected to resume from May this year.<\/div>\n<div>According to documents available with <a href=\"https:\/\/wealthpakistan.com.pk\/work-on-cpec-linked-yarikh-sagu-motorway-set-to-begin-in-may\/\">Wealth Pakistan<\/a>, the 50-kilometre, four-lane CPEC-linked project, initiated on June 16, 2023, has so far achieved 12.02% progress.<\/div>\n<div>The National Highway Authority Executive Board has assigned the remaining construction work to M\/s Umer Jan &amp; Co JV Mina Construction Company which will undertake the pending works.<\/div>\n<div>According to the document, documentation, joint measurements and mobilisation of the new contractor will take around two months, after which construction activities are likely to commence from May this year.<\/div>\n<div>The project, with an overall PC-I cost of Rs76,486 million and a Package-I contract cost of Rs22,886 million, was initially scheduled for completion by June 15, 2025.
