Lahore, March 9(ABC): Former spokesperson of the Balochistan government and Member of the Balochistan Assembly Farah Azeem Shah has said that women are a fundamental pillar of the development, prosperity and stability of any society. She said that women in Pakistan, particularly in Balochistan, are rendering remarkable services in the fields of education, health, journalism, politics and many other sectors.
In her message on the occasion of International Women’s Day, she said that empowering women is the need of the hour so that they can play a full and effective role in the development and progress of society. She added that it is the responsibility of the government and all segments of society to provide women with education, employment and equal opportunities.
Farah Azeem Shah said that Iman Pakistan is playing an important role in making women stable, self-reliant and prosperous, and various programs are being implemented to promote women’s welfare and empowerment.
She further said that Islam has granted women dignity, respect and rights, and it is our social responsibility to ensure the protection of these rights. She added that the purpose of International Women’s Day is to pay tribute to the struggle of women and to promote collective efforts for addressing the challenges they face.
She expressed her resolve to continue raising her voice for the protection of women’s rights, the promotion of education and economic empowerment so that the foundations of a strong and prosperous society can be laid.
